The draw for the summer leauge has now been completed and in group b of the 11aside u10 competition is as follows, Tingley tigers, Empire colts, ward green, Mexboro rangers and our very St joes lions .A tough start to our 11 aside adventure.Leauge start we commencing 3- march 2008 and the final is 2nd august 2008

South Leeds saints got closer to the panthers today 1 point away as they Won 1 game and draw the second at home to seacroft, and they still have a game in hand , a very tight end to the season indeed

A Crazy eight minute cost Panthers dear , as they lost the second game in the top of the table clash with South Leeds 4-3, this depite leeding 3-1 for most of the game. having won the firts game 2-1 with goals from Sam dale and Nick walton , Panthers never looking in doubt of losing secured the points, MOM Sam was the drive through the middle in his most influenial game to date.

Panthers seemed to be costing to the second game as well , having taken a 2-0 lead, Joes looked invincible, Walker up front and Hudson in midfield causing most rouble. but then when joes thought they had put the game safe at 3-1 they oppostion changed there keepr and the whole game changed , 3 freek goals from the virtually the half way line cost the game , but hopefully not a shot at the championship. we wait to see

A different day on Sunday ended up if a defeat either and a win, although not for the want of trying , a spirited performance in first was not enough to stop one of the heaviest defeats of the season , 4-0 even late subs Sam bland at striker and will Wright in the middle wasn't enough to disturb the flow of the game in tingley favour.

A more determined effort in the second was rewarded with a 3-1 win,goal from the 2 jacks and a late deserved goal for mom Tyler saw Panthers through, despite conceding a late cancellation,

A Double victory earn local playground bragging rights for Benji and Nick , Local Team Castleford town were defeat in a tough local derby on Saturday . Nick scored 3 times either side of the half time with James Hackney scoring his 4 in 5 games and a own goal off a cross from James Haddington to boot rounded off a great first game in which panthers dominated start to finish

A more tight affair in the second but Panthers strength saw the through having battled throughout the first half Joes went in with a narrow lead1-0 but cane out o dominate the second playing free flowing football all the way , goals from Jack walker and Tyler dale wedge either side of a own goal was enough for the win

The web site is now back up and running after a rather large gap for the season

The Manager of Dudley Hill was in contact on the evening after the  game on Sunday, to complement the Team on the very Sporting behaviour and  impeccable hospitality . A delighted Brian said it was the most welcoming place he'd been all season. he also complimented the on How well the team played and could see why we were top of the League . Manager Stretton said he was ecstatic that the opposition were welcome in a great manner and enjoyed the day out.

Having rattled up his 20th goal of the season in Sunday's game, Addi also Rattled up 7 points in the sin bin , meaning he will sit out this weeks Friendly against Empire Colts , Manager Stretton said that its come at the right time and addi need the rest anyway, 20 goals is a lot to score.

Panthers went on to another double victory with wins in both games 4-0 and 3-1, Addi, Nick, Louis and sub Tyler on target in the first, Hudson, Liddle and sub Turpin in the second. On a very cold and wet match day both team shone brightly to ease past Dudley to the points. Despite a poor first half performance in the first game Panthers got there game together and commanded the second half scoring 3 of the 4 goals in the second half. The second game a tighter affair saw Joes go ahead and then be pegged back before half time,  2 second half goals winning the tie in slightly more one sided last 20 mins.M.o.m were Josh Clark for his handling and command of the area, Kyle Owen for his dominance in midfield in the second game .

Jack Turpin rose from his sick bed today to claim the Top trainer award , after putting in maximum effort and determination throughout the session, Manager Stretton said " Its good to see no only commitment to the team in just turning up from being ill, then to have your best training to date tops it off, not only did he beat Coach Dale in the tackle during the tactical Knockabout, but sprayed the ball with ease as well"

Manager Stretton announced that no less than seven 7 players had been Given a 1 point sin bin for what was classed as Un-team like behaviour. having played in the first game with the rest of the team avidly watching and supporting , the players from that game plus a sub from the second decided to play in they park instead of supporting the team. Manager Stretton said" Although I do understand boys need to play, I feel they let there team down with the lack of support for the players on the park". Head coach Dale said "its team spirit we are trying to keep going and encourage , incidents like this don't help at all, let hope they learn from here.

There were mixed fortunes today at hainsworth park, In a high paced first game Joes took the lead within 8 minutes ,Addi latching onto a through ball from Smith to slot home, having dominated the game throughout, Hudson as sub doing some tireless work Joes went further ahead with Addis reappearance , setting up neilson for the second  before addi claimed a 2nd from a Sam dale through ball.

The second game was a much slower tighter affair , Joes getting caught playing high defence in the 1st half, When farsly had a speculative shot which deflected off another player send keeper precious the wrong way, despite a much improved second half Joes were unable to pierce the Farsley goal in the second half losing 1-0

Trainer of the week for the previous week as the trophy went missing for the week was Josh smith, well done, This weeks top trainer was nick Walton for all round commitment to the session.

The Police search for the missing Top Trainer Trophy was called off today as its was returned intact from a unnamed source, manger Stretton said  " I'm delighted to be reunited with the trophy but hope police still catch the culprit", The only clue they have to go on is a white ford speeding away from the scene of the crime .police did have a tip off that it was on sale at a car boot sale last Sunday but were thwarted by the same white car . Police stated that this is the worst sort of crime, and not to approach the driver under  any circumstances as they are most dangerous and almost certainly crazy.

A Good time was had by all at the Halloween Party , The food was a treat the beverages better, Party games of pass the parcel, wrap the mummy and dip your hand in god knows what .

Panthers fail to get the results the performance they deserved for the second week running, a dominant panthers from 10 minutes onwards of the first half only came up with a josh Smith free kick in reply to 2 gift goals against battling side .having had all the attacks with little or no reply left a bitter taste again, more reward was taken in the second with Jack Walker and Kyle Owen coming up with the Goals , even though Panthers tried throwing it away gifting a goal with poor defence from the set play again

Panthers were unlucky not to score a dozen goals , but ended up conceding half a dozen, through poor defence and ball chasing getting caught every time , stepping up from a long ball, Haddington being our only scorer in a 6-1  defeat, the second game was going the same way until Tyler Dale stepped up and scored twice to bring the game close in the dying seconds ending up 3-2 to Upton

The first all weather training session at Knottingley High schools was a great success , with most other teams commenting on the presentation of our team in the personalized training kit, The team packed a lot into the hour but could always do with further training.

Panthers went 4 points clear at the top at the weekend , having gain there six at Seacroft, South Leeds Saints only managed a point at the weekend at Rothwell Town, see league tables for more details

The manager announced 3 new friendly today, at home on consecutive Sunday starting 21st October  to Upton, Tingly and Empire colts all 1030ko, no rest for the wicked

Despite a late night watching the England rugby success the Panthers were aging on top form to take all 3 points in both games,  A tight first game saw James Haddington slot in the only Goal of the game from a well work ball through the middle from Hudson and Walton, Precious in goal and unbeatable back 2 of Hackney and mom Smith we never outclassed ,Dales and Neilson tireless work in midfield being the backbone to work off.

The second game was just as close possession wise with Joes making more of there chance the first a Tap for Tyler Dale  ,  from a hard working Owen shot off the post, with the ever present Stretton waiting to pounce the second was a well work move from front to back Started by Wright at the back who brought in Liddle through the middle, to feed Owen on the left who squared it to Liddle to tap home, The third a well worked move from Gibson and Turpin set Liddle free to slot home

12/10/07  The team bowling evening was a great success , a good time was had by all, over all under 16 winner was Alicia Precious with 122 pins , what's going on boys beaten by a girl, James Haddington was the highest scoring Player with 121 pins, The all important Team prize went to wait for it , yes you've guessed it Team mangers Phil Stretton team , made up of James Haddington,  Ben Liddle, Max Bland , Josh Smith, Sam dale and last but not least Jiordan Stretton. John Wrights team of girls , no offence Will and Sam was second. The coaching staff did celebrate for the team with the appropriate measures

10/10/07 Name change completed by garforth team now known as St Josephs Panthers not P & P as previously stated .

8/10/07  The garforth league have today been asked to change the name on the website to just Panthers as per the league application, Manager Stretton said "we play as a complete team ands be known as a complete team " its all part of the team ethic. the league have yet to reply

Panthers travelled to South kirby juniors determined to bury the curse, a mixed bag of results in the end though, The first game saw Joes go down 3-1 in the end despite a close contest Benji Precious in goal keeping them in the game more than once to ear MOM, a goal from nick Walton the only breakthrough in a end to end battle, but a poor second half display cost Joes dear as 2 late goals were conceded.

Panthers dominated the second game throughout and never looked like conceding, some indifferent finishing cost Joes early in a game where they could have been 3 up before the break, but at the start of the second Joes to the game by the scruff and went 2 up from Walker & Haddington. Joes conceded late on but held out despite most of the Kirby team from the first game being reintroduced

The Team announced a bowling night at xscape on Friday 12th October as a thank you for a great start to the season. manager Phil Stretton said" The lads have done brill at the start of the season and deserve a reward for there efforts , this is  a way of saying thanks"

Lanes are booked for 5oo pm all kids are welcome

Treasurer Tracy precious and Coordinator Paula Hackney have also announced a Halloween party on the weekend in between Halloween and Bonfire night date and time to be confirmed

The winning run continued with 4-0 wins in both games against Hunslet  , Panthers dominated both games , Haddington grabbing his 3rd hatrick of the season in the first Nielson getting the other Goal ,Mom Will Wright was the rock the win was built round in defence.

Jack Walker got his scoring boots on in the 2nd half of the second game netting twice  , goals from mom Josh Liddle and super sub Jack Turpin scores again in a extremely dominant game.

Panthers remain undefeated with a 2-0 win and a 2-2 draw at home to Pudsey juniors, mom Nick Walton was the player in the first winning most headers and crunching tackles, Jack walker was outstanding in the second, But Sam Blands best half to date was Earned him MOM in the second, scorers were James addi and Louis in the first ,Josh L and super sub jack turpin in the second.

The first Garforth  league game of the season saw panthers again have a hard battle to earn full away points at he first time of asking , winning both game 2-1 coming back from goal down in the second, Haddington on top form again scoring twice, Thom Gibson scoring the winner in the second

Our last preseason saw us have a mixed results, a very poor and slow start saw Joes go 2 nil in the first 8 minutes in the first, but a battling performance saw them rally to a 3-2 lead early in the second , only to let it slip in the last 30 second s to draw 3-3, the second was dominated by Joes never looking to concede in a 3-0 win

A second preseason in 3 days against the villa saw Joes play with much more aplomb with a3-0 win in the first Nielson getting a hatrick this time around

The second game was a slightly tighter game than last time Joes running out 5-1 winners Haddington getting his second hatrick of the week

Humanby trip cancelled due to lack of pitch at Humanby

Following a lengthy conversation with Humanby jfc it was decided that the forth coming trip to filey be cancelled due to lack of playing facilities . lets try again next year we agreed as this one was not to be.

Panthers off to shaky start in preseason

Panthers got off to a shaky start at home to Garforth villa in a preseason warm up campaign losing 2-1 in the first game ,with a dismal performance neilson getting the only goal

but  there was great joy in the second with a 7-0 crushing of the villa Haddington nagging a hatrick

22/08/07 Training kit imminent

A training kit has been acquired for the team thanks to the sponsored bag pack which raised £550 at the end of last season, the a green and black Nike kits will be personalised before issue watch this space.
